Ran Ukashi, Executive Director

Good morning friends,

You may have already heard that the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba is proposing changes to it’s Standard of Practice for Performing Office-Based Procedures that would prevent the ritual of Jewish circumcision, brit milah, outside of medical clinics. A message sent out to the community from our friends at the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg about this matter can be read by clicking here and includes information about the proposed changes as well as how you can add your voice by providing feedback to the College by the July 16 deadline. A sample letter is also included for your use in the message.

We are also pleased to share with you a statement sent by the Winnipeg Council of Rabbis to the college and signed by Rabbi Anibal Mass and other council members, available for you to read by clicking here.

Thank you,

Ran Ukashi
