Shaarey Zedek Announces New Chief Financial Officer Joel Boroditsky

We are pleased to announce that Joel Boroditsky has joined our team as Chief Financial Officer. Joel comes to us with 15 years of experience in the accounting field having worked in public practice, and in industries as a Controller. He was born and raised in Winnipeg’s Jewish Community and has had strong links to the community, including as both a camper and counsellor at Camp Massad, and as a member of its Board of Directors in 2015.
After a six-year stint in Kelowna, British Columbia, Joel returned to Winnipeg with his family to raise them in the local Jewish community.
Joel has been working directly with our current CFO, Eduardo Saveliovsky, to build an understanding of the synagogue and cemetery financials, accounting software, and organizational procedures and policies. Eduardo, who has been our valued CFO since 2010, will be retiring in February.
