Support the JCFS Passover Assistance Program and help less fortunate families celebrate Pesach this year

Dear Friends,

The Passover Haggadah opens with an important statement: “All who are hungry, let them come and eat!”

The practice of collecting Ma’ot Chitim, “wheat money” for the purchase of Matzah for the poor, is mentioned in the Jerusalem Talmud dating back over 1600 years!

 In this tradition and in the spirit of enabling everyone in our community to celebrate Passover with dignity, Congregation Shaarey Zedek’s Tikun Olam Committee is proud to endorse the Jewish Child and Family Service Passover Assistance, Ma’ot Chitim to distribute 160 Passover hampers.

We encourage our synagogue community to donate through the JCFS portal below. 

In continuation of the February Heart2Heart campaign, and as promised in our initial fund drive, all remaining funds will be transferred to the JCFS Passover initiative.
