Dear Congregants,
Our Shaarey Zedek community deeply mourns the tragic loss of six hostages, kidnapped on October 7th who were brutally murdered over the weekend at the hands of Hamas.
Many of us woke up yesterday to the devastating news that Carmel Gat, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alex Lobanov, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, and Ori Danino, of blessed memory, were found murdered by Hamas after 11 months in captivity, their beautiful lives cut short and the hopes and dreams of their families to be reunited with them, now shattered.
Our hearts go out to their families and friends. May their memory be a blessing and bring comfort to their loved ones.
We continue to pray for the safe return of the remaining hostages and must stand strong together.
Please consider joining the following grass-roots community initiatives to support Israel and each other in our struggle to overcome in these challenging times.
Community Vigil for the Hostages and Other Victims Murdered by Hamas
TONIGHT Monday, September 2nd at 7 PM outside Adas Yeshurun Herzlia Synagogue 620 Brock Street.
Bring Them Home Rally (weekly)
