With hearts overflowing with gratitude, relief, and reverence, Congregation Shaarey Zedek welcomes the long-awaited return of the hostages to Israel. Their safe arrival and reunion with cherished loved ones is a moment of profound significance—a testament to resilience, hope, and the enduring power of prayer and community.

At the same time, our thoughts and deepest compassion are with the families whose loved ones were not brought home safely. We pray that their remains may be returned swiftly to their families for a dignified burial. Your sorrow is immeasurable, and we mourn alongside you. Your strength in the face of unimaginable pain humbles us, and your courage lights a path forward for all of us. We stand beside you—in grief, in solidarity, and in unwavering support. You are not alone.

As the hostages and their families begin the journey of healing, this is also a time for all of us to reflect, to mend, and to renew our collective spirit. May this moment spark a new chapter—one filled with compassion, unity, and the building of lasting peace. Together, we look ahead with hope, believing in the possibility of a brighter future.

Likutei Moharan, Part II 24:1:1
It is a great mitzvah to always be happy, and to make every effort to determinedly keep depression and gloom at bay.
