A fun and festive reading of Megillat Esther! Join Rabbi Anibal Mass, Cantorial Soloist Leslie Emery, Dr. Rena Secter Elbaze and more as we read through the story of Purim.

This family-friendly event will be offered in-person and online! Those who attend in-person will have treats to take home.

Come wearing your best costume, and get ready to boo Haman — we’ll supply groggers too!

TZEDAKAH ON PURIM: Bring a box of dried macaroni to use as a noise maker and leave it with us for JCFS and Winnipeg Harvest. Bring other non-perishable items too if you like for the bin.

Shaarey Zedek COVID-19 Protocols – If you are attending this event in-person, you must wear a mask at all times. A government-issued vaccination card alongside valid government-issued photo ID is required for adults in order to enter the building. We will accept parental confirmation of vaccination for children and teens since immunization cards are not widely available for children. Please arrive to the riverside entrance (back of the synagogue) after 6:30 PM and no later than 7:15 PM to check-in.
