Shabbat Morning Honouring Bill Weissmann

Join us for a very special Shabbat Morning Service as we honour Bill Weissmann — our recently retired and decades-long serving Shammes and lay clergy — who in early February will receive the Manitoba Lieutenant-Governor’s Award for Advancement of Interreligious Understanding. The Shabbat service will be held on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 AM in the Berney Theatre at the Asper Campus and will be followed by an enhanced Kiddush. We honour Bill’s longstanding and heartfelt dedication the Congregation Shaarey Zedek, where he welcomed countless groups for tours, service experiences, and interfaith commemorations, and was instrumental in stewarding our daily Minyan, Shabbat, and High Holiday services. We welcome you to join us in celebrating him and his much-deserved recent award.
